This is the first time I've ever fully drawn and posted a piece with my dogs in it. I'd only ever drawn them off-site, or maybe once or twice on paper. Even then, it was rare for me to sit down and focus on their every detail. But now that all three of them are gone off to a better running field, I knew I had to throw away any worries I had of not fully representing them in my style. I'm proud of what I came out with-- especially with my Chihuahua, Summer. She is NOT the conventional dog breed I tend to get drawn to when I make art. This was actually my first time drawing her without choosing to trace over a photo! YIPPEE FOR GROWTH! Anyways, I'm gonna keep this short by saying... I miss my girls every day. Summer, Angel, Roxy... I love y'all so much. I hope one day we can see each other again. If not, don't stop running. 💜
