Six woke up with a gasp, as she immediately sat up. Mindlessly clawing at the air. Seven, who had woken her up yet again, jumped back. “H-hay! Be careful, you almost clawed my face off…” Six huffed, rolling her eyes, “Let's just go”. With a bit of effort she pushed herself up, her muscles aching in protest. The rainwing gave Seven a look that said, ‘Lead the way’. With a sigh, and a nod, Seven turned and started leading Six out of the ‘medical tent’ and the Hide Away. As they moved farther and farther away from the Hide Away the heat became less and less intense. The coldness of the Maw seeped back into Six’s scales, and she found herself missing the warmth of the Hide Away. Both of them soon entered the ventilation system, their claws clicked uncomfortably loudly in the dead silence. “There should be a loose vent wall we can push aside to enter the room the Janitor went into shortly after you woke up,” Seven eventually whispered as he shook his wings out lightly and rounded a coroner.

Six huffed, “Is there no way to go farther than that? Like up a few levels?” Seven shook his head, as he began to push against one of the vent walls, “No, there are more monsters in the upper levels. Everyone in the Hide Away is way too scared that something will hear the bars being welded to the vents,” he paused, huffing as the vent cover wouldn’t give, “And that’s not mentioning how everyone’s afraid of the Janitor-”. Seven yelped as he fell through the wall into the room on the other side. Six snorted in amusement and made her way over to the hole, minding her wing as she pushed her way through. Once through the hole, she looked around the small room and it looked like a dead end. The rainwing looked over at Seven, who was looking at some kind of gating, “So where to now, frost brain?” Seven looked over at Six, giving her a funny look, “There’s a hole up there,” he pointed above the gating, “I think we s-”

“You think we should climb up to continue,” Six cut him off, nodding her head lightly, before making her way over and starting to climb. Rather quickly she made her way up to the floor above, looking back seeing Seven not fair behind. She then caught a glimpse of a guillotine not fair from the hole, ‘Kill the hybrid!’ a voice whispered in her head. Six gripped her head, as the mystery voice repeated itself. ‘Kill the hybrid!’ ‘Kill the hybrid!’ ‘Kill the hybrid!’ ‘Kill the hybrid!’ ‘Kill-’. “Six?!” Seven’s voice suddenly pulled her back into reality. “A-Are you alright? You were grabbing your head and shaking it violently, well whispering ‘no’. Not to mention you’re crying and your dark green-”. “I’m fine!” The rainwing hissed, her colors quickly shifting to red. She huffed with annoyance, “By the moons lets just go…” Six quickly got up from the sitting position she must have fallen into, and turned away from Seven. Without another word She made her way over to a hole in the wall and jumped down.
