Genuine question
Can neurotypical people have hyperfixations?
I've heard people say no, which I kinda agree with but rn im really confused and I can't find any answers because every time I try I end up getting overstimulated because of how shitty these sites are put together IGS ALL JUMBLEDUPP anyway
I, as someone who isn't diagnosed with autism, am doing as much research as I can to find out if I'm autistic or not. The reason why I'm not just going to go get a diagnosis is because of my current situation but I'm an impatient person lol
Anyway
I've noticed that my most noticeable trait is hyperfixations, (I also stim but I'm pretty sure I've heard that neurotypical people can stim too so im not gonna add it, but if im wrong then yeah include this lol) I also carry other autistic traits but most of these traits are common traits and can also be found in neurotypical people too lol. I know for a fact I have hyperfixations because I THINK ABT THEM 24/7, DRAW THEM 24/7, TALK ABT THEM WHENEVER I GET T

Link-CHANCE, AND THEY ALSO GET IN THE WAY OF MY LIFE AND WORK 💀💀 like, i literally don't ****ing shower or get up to eat or brush my teeth OR EVEN SOCIALIZE if it doesn't include my fixations. Right now, I'm just so confused?? I'm starting to think I might actually have some mild form of autism or some shit
PLEASE MIND THAT THIS ISNT THE ONLY AUTISTIC TRAIT I HAVE. I have other traits I'm just talking abt hyperfixations because that's my most noticeable trait and despite it being common it's not something neurotypicals (as far as ive heard) have. (What i mean by 'common traits' is that a trait that isnt exclusively an autistic trait lol just so ppl dont get confused)

LinkWhenever I try to get help from my parents, all it turns into is an argument. Usually w/ my mom.
My dad understand I may be mildly autistic, because his side of the family is very neurodivergent (example, my grandmother used to bang her head into shit and hit herself whenever she got overstimulated from shit such as rlly loud noises.)

I do smhtn similar but not as bad as she did it (she used to actually physically harm herself from banging her head onto stuff) I just hit my head hard repeatedly whenever I hear a loud noise (like dishes clanking together, motorbike engines, ect ect im just sensitive to noise.)

I've done a couple quizzes and I'm definitely gonna do more but the questions confuse me badly sometimes 💀 like I literally have to reread it twice
