im thinking about the days leading up to the elections and how hopeful everybody was

i saw a post and it was like if you "don't get into politics" you're privileged and everyone in the comments was attacking them but they were totally right and everybody was like well sorry Im a teenager sorry I don't like conflict as if anybody likes conflict that just proves their point even further because you have the option to turn away from conflict

everyone seems like they're "getting woke" just so they can feel like they're on the right side of history or morally superior but not because they genuinely believe this is something they should fight for like idk you can tell when someone's only involved in this kind of stuff so people will think they're so based and correct ✅ what have you actually done

i guess I'm a hypocrite there was a nationwide walkout on the 20th and I didn't do it because I was scared my mom was going to know j went and I really wanted to do it and after school I saw all the people walking out and I felt a lump in my throat and idk if it was because I was too ashamed to walk out or because of Everything and then my mom called to ask to make sure I wasn't walking out so I guess I did Dodge a bullet I told my mom what the walkout was about and she seemed less agitated but I can't tell if she's against or for ice

i meant I felt ashamed that I didn't walk out

because I think I'm pretty vocal about my opinions on these things but the one time I have the option to do something I had to skip out on it but my friend did the walk out he had a whole conversation with us about it at lunch and how he's scared of being deported and I'm really scared for him and my other friends and he put posters up and the school took them down which they can't do because it says he can in the student handbook and he was worried nobody was gonna show up but people did and I'm glad they did I wish I could've too

i think I'm a pretty big hypocrite because I'm always ranting about stuff I hate but I end up doing those same things but I don't even realize it but I'm kind of trying to improve Idk if I'm doing better

i always see hot takes on tt and they're completely right and easy to understand but they require context and obviously you can't explain the history and modern day effects of racism homophobia etc in one video so people are like well that's a stretch you're being too woke

a lot of my opinions have changed over the past like 4 years and I think most of it has changed solely because i took basic history classes but also probably because I'm not 12 anymore

i think people don't understand that a lot of the stuff the government is pulling only holds up because of plausible deniability like all the propaganda posted to government run social media accounts

also nobody should be trusting anything from government ran accounts anyways but I don't think it's too woke to think pro-ice/Trump propaganda using the same themes and slogans as the kkk is crazy

the one that really shocked me was an ice account I think it was Instagram or Twitter and then used the phrase "protect your heritage" and with knights in the background and i was like this can't be real

i hate that everyone censors their words on tiktok now especially in comment sections because you're not going to get flagged for saying rape or killed

i rlly dgaf if the girl who bullied you in middle school is posting about how she's Fluttershy omg I'm sorry I had to say it I'm so tired of it I get it they think they're nicer than they actually are and it's annoying but you're like the millionth person to talk about it

just looked at this girls acc on tt and all her posts are "I hate pomegranate poetry" "he doesn't want u" and the only time she's talked about some thing even remotely important was a post captioned "just saw an 🧊 igent and ofc he's chopped" shut up shut up

i liked the colors of the wind trend because you couldn't change the theme of it but it was kind of iffy to me that it was a trend calling out racism and the effects of colonization in America but it was using a song from a movie that tried to romanticize pocahontas

i hate how they tried to pull the "both sides are bad" in that movie well I hate it in general because duh but this specifically irked me and I hate how little people care

i love these trends that edit movement like when they edit protesters in the same way they edit superheros I think it draws more people to the cause but also a lot of the people enjoying these posts are more into the idea of fanticising about revo lution and not actually doing anything in reality

which is why I hate all this talk about green day and the super bowl because yea I think its so good that a popular anti-maga punk band is gonna play in front of so many Americans especially infront of so many magats but I think people are turning this into a "gotcha" fantasy about green day because of people saying "the revolutions about to be televised" (😭?) as if green day playing at the super bowl is going to spark a revolution That's already happening you just only care about pop culture news

and the people who try to act morally superior but won't actually get up and do something because I highly doubt every single one of these people don't have the ability to get up and protest or anything like I know some people can't because I can't do it myself but I Know you're not 20 years old living on your own you don't work more than 5-6 days a week but you haven't been able to attend a protest once in this entire year idk I find that hard to believe ok well maybe not 6 days a week but 5???
