REAL i struggle at visualizing and had an iep allowing me to have calculators at all times even during tests where I wasn't supposed to have one

THATS ACTUALLY AWESOME I kind of understand teachers trying to limit calculator use to get students to learn concepts and stuff but tbh I think they should just be allowed all the time
