About a year before, I drew a sad scene of Rustypaw's death and goodbye to his beloved brother, Blueleaf. This scene was one of my first death scenes on this account, and I'm really proud of how it came out a year ago. I look back at this picture and still love it, but I knew it was about time to redraw it. I wouldn't say it looks better, pretty foggy and probably has too much shading, but that's just what I do. I focused more on the spirits than I did Blueleaf and Rustypaw. Blueleaf and Rustypaw's shading was simple, along with their lighting for the final piece. The spirits are always difficult because of my one stroke technique. I like how this turned out, but I still kind of like the former drawing better. Which drawing looks better in your opinion?~
