I keep running, and running. my legs feel numb, my chest hurts, but i keep running. voices all around me. everyone is staring, they can see all of me. im scared, i want to be free. all i want is too be free. where am i? a room? i must have woken up. what a nightmare, everyone judging me, staring. i cant take it anymore. i just want to be left alone. "Helton, get up. your going to be late for school, and i am not in the mood for the teacher calling me again that your late all the time." my mother exclaims from the kitchen, yelling her lungs out. i slowly get up from my bed, standing up and going through my closet, picking out a simple black t-shirt and some pants. i put them on and slip my shoes on, grabbing my bag. i walk down the stairs and glare at my mom, who is flicking ash off her Cigarette. i close my eyes and walk out the door slowly, making sure she didn't notice i left yet. i slowly walk to the sidewalk and to school. As im walking, i notice other people talking, classmates and such. Gossiping

About "The Thing". I never want that to happen again, NEVER AGAIN. I finally walk into school and to my locker, i put my stuff up, grabbing my textbook and calculator for math, i finally close my locker and notice some boys taking a weird medication, i finally come to realize what it is. I turn my head away and keep walking, until one of the boy comes up to me and starts poking me with what looks like a sharp pen, i try to push it away but it cuts my cheek sharply, i look up and hes holding a pocket knife, suddenly, everything around me goes dark, just a room full of black silence. I see eyes. bright red and white eyes staring at me and telling me to punch him. tackle him. do anything to hurt him, i hold back tears while trying to hold back my fist as well, i'm shaking. my body hurts. i'm not good enough to fight him. Weak, just Weak. I see the room become brighter, i see other kids around me, walking, talking, all that. Then i see the boy standing in front of me. he's looking at me weird. all the boys

are looking at me. i finally pick up my fist and it hits is eye, leaving a giant bruise. i look at my hand, straight blood. red, all i see is red. the boy, crying his eyes out, blood all over his face. my eyes widen more, a smile going across my face as i look at my hand.
