Wait for me is probably one if not my absolute favorite song from the musical And the flower is supposed to be a red carnation, and he has it because at the start of the musical he makes it bloom with his unfinished song. He gives it to Eurydice, and she leaves it behind when she goes to hadestown. And it’s carried around through out the whole musical. Kinda over explained it but eh.
