LinkTw//r-slur (censored)
okay so like, this lady comes in and she says, right off the bat, "I need a wristband for my r*t*rded daughter" and the kid starts screeching, she CLEARLY doesn't appreciate being called that but cannot express it as she was semi-verbal. I didn't know what to do, and my supervisor said to give the girl a paper pass. the kid had a friend as a chaperone, she was deemed unfit to ride by herself, due to leg and arm tics/twitches. the mom, who ws the ableist one, told her kid to "shut up or you won't ride anything". like I am in no position to refuse anything for the woman, but I was FUMING. I cannot judge people's parenting without looking like an ass but this lady was SO rude and ableist.
