Normally I do draw with a sketch first, but that was kind of an experiment to see if I could do without it. Also I was testing out a new pen :)

It was like 5 bucks but it actually worked pretty well lol

5 dollars isn't very much, like maybe you could buy a watermelon with that amount.

My teachers used to get legit mad at me for holding my pencil that way, I have a small collection of pencil grip correctors from those days lol. My pencil grip is literally just a fist.
