*it's basiclly a way neuro-divergent people like me express or cope with emotions or stimulus. It's often used as a calming mechanism, but positive stims are also a thing,as well as stims just to channel extra energy or stimulus. common examples of stims re things like humming, repeating phrases, moving or shaking hands, and rocking. sometimes they can involve things like hitting your head or pulling your hair, but other then that their not harmfull. it's common for people with autism and/or adhd.*
