LinkIt was excruciating. The last thing I remember seeing and feeling was a long sharp needle sticking into my eye and then flashes of light. There were at least ten colors - green, blue, red, yellow, white, orange, silver, black, brown and gray - flash after flash after flash.
When I woke up, I saw syringes lined up on the walls and lots of test tubes. I was going to get up but I was chained up on a metal bed and had the worst headache in the world. Worse than a migraine, but not a cluster headache. The pain was all around.I looked to the left of me. There was a woman - probably around her 20s - chained up next to me. “Where are we?” I asked. “I don’t know, but I have a headache from Hell.” She replied.
Just then, a man in a long white coat walked in. He was short, had a long nose, and looked like Egor mixed in with a little bit of goblin. “How are my little subjects doing?” He asked. “Who are you?” Me and the woman said at about the same time, “And what are you doing to me?” “That’s something for me to ke

Linkand you to find out.” He said, checking his test tubes. “I wouldn't be surprised if you’re Satan himself!” The girl said. “That would explain the headache,” I said, “but why would the Devil be short and ugly? Wouldn’t he be tall and scary?” “True,” said the girl.
“I’m not Satan, and the headache is high doses of TCA antidepressants. You two are good subjects because you are very sensitive to it and can overdose quickly. That's good because when I mix TCA with this mysterious fluid,” the scientist held up a bottle with purple stuff in it, “A chemical reaction happens.” “What's the reaction?” The girl asked, her curiosity getting the best of her. “This!” He stabbed me with a huge needle and I let out a scream so loud, I hope the police station heard it.
Then all of a sudden, green, blue, red, yellow, white, orange, silver, black, brown and gray, flash after flash after flash. I woke up in a meadow surrounded by daisies.

Linksaw a castle no farther than a couple miles away from me. I continued to study my surroundings, finding lots of trees, green, green grass, and a cave inside a rocky hill. Soon I decided to trek across the mile-long field to get to the castle for food, but no money means no food, and I don’t think they'll take American dollar bills anyways.
I couldn't help but think of what happened to the girl. Was she dead? Is she trapped? Did the police come and arrest the scientist’s little no good arse? Then I realized she had to have been injected with the TCA - fluid stuff, but where is she?
THWUMP! I turned around, and saw her. I knew she had to be here somewhere. “Hi” I said. She didn’t answer. “Hello?” she then lunged at me and punched me in the face, blood running out my nose. “Oh my God! I thought you were hostile! I didn't know it was you! I’m so sorry!!!” “I know, just help me up.” I groaned. She did, and boy did she have lots of questions. The only few I got to answer were “what’s your name?” “Where are we?” a

Linknd “where are you from?” She was basically asking me my entire life story. I answered “I am Mason Karlsson, I am 24 years old, I am from Denver, Colorado, and I don’t know where the heck we are. How about you?” “Well, I’m Rosalyn Wilder, I’m from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and I'm 23 years old” “Do you have any money?” I asked. “No” She replied. Great. No money. We’re going to starve. “It’s getting dark. We need to find shelter,” she said. “Don’t worry,” I said, “I know just the place.”
We decided to spend the night in the cave under the rocky hill. We didn't have any flashlights or anything so we built a fire from dry leaves and bark from the trees outside. When the fire started, the front part of the cave lit up. It wasn’t much, but we were proud of ourselves. We decided to explore the cave with torches.
We split up, and I decided to go through a small crack, and I couldn’t believe my eyes - a chest full of gold! Next to it were two skeletons. One had a sword and sheath, and one had a bow and arrow

Linkcomplete with a quiver. Just wait until I tell Rosalyn about this…
“Aaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!” a blood curdling scream. A woman's scream. Rosalyn’s in danger! I grabbed the sword for me and the bow and arrow for Rosalyn and sprinted towards where her screaming was coming from. I shimmied through the crack she went through and put my torch on the ground. Just then I found the worst scene I have ever witnessed.
A giant green snake with two heads had Rosalyn in its grasp. Rosalyn was turning blue, and I didn't know what to do. It seemed like the snake didn’t notice me, so I silently brought the sword out of its sheath. I didn’t quite know how to use a sword, but I still went on. The snake was looking the other way and I was ready to make the perfect ambush just when I slipped on the torch and all Hell broke loose.
First, my fall alerted the monster, and it dropped Rosalyn. Second, it was now after me, which is not good. Third, my Spider-Man skills are not as good as they are on a trampoline, which is also bad. Now my

Linkleg’s inside the snake’s mouth (bleeding badly), and the snake’s whipping me around like a lasso. I was losing so much blood, I thought I was going to pass out.
Just when I lost hope, an arrow lodged into the eye of the snake’s head that I’m in.
The snake’s head dropped limp, and Rosalyn stood there just like Katniss Everdeen posing with her bow in The Hunger Games. But the battle wasn’t over yet. The snake’s live head hissed at us and started slithering towards me slower than usual, the limp head of the dead twin slowing it down. I didn’t know what to do, my sword out of reach and my leg horribly injured. It’s just a dream, I thought, I’ll wake up any second...any second now… Then I realized. The horrible pain I felt in my leg was my leg mangled horribly. That probably happened while the snake was twirling me around!
The pain I felt moving my leg to get the sword was way worse than when the scientist jabbed his needle in my eye or when the sword got stuck in the first place! When I did get the sword,

Linkit was almost too late. The snake was ready to strike. At the last second, I put the sword in front of my face and sssslllllliiiinnnnnkkkkk! The snake fell right into my trap.The snake’s entire body was in half, skeleton and all. I looked at Rosalyn. Rosalyn looked at me. “Is there a hospital somewhere?” I asked. “There has to be one at that castle. I’m going to wrap your jacket around the wound” she replied. “We need money before we leave”, I said, “There’s a chest of gold doubloons In the crack left of the den we’re in . I don't know how much we need, so grab a lot,” I said. She nodded and walked off.
I couldn’t help but stare at the long, lime-green body of the snake. Even though I was in grave pain, I stood up and looked around for a stick I could use for a crutch. Luckily I found a batch of sticks we found for firewood. There was one just about perfect. When Rosalyn came back I told her “we leave at dawn.”
