Scratch and pick and squeeze and pull and bleed and be empty and be hungry and exhaust yourself and form a new growth and do it all over again and shake and itch and poke and scrape and pluck and cry and tire of it and do it all over again flaky patches of dried yellow fall into the sink and I stare in the mirror and search for more to rearrange and I laugh and I sit there for a while until my face is red and blotchy
