but, that's kinda plagairizing.. you should of drawn it in your style, unless you did (i don't want to be a meanie-beanie!), and maybe played around with how the fusion looks. it just looks like Maverick with a screen slapped on to his face and a bunch of red paint. not saying it is bad, just a little uncreative.
well my avatar is just a stickfigure with a screen face so i guess it's not really just the fusion it's kinda like fanart and i don't really have a style and also i'm not very creative.

think of my character as Kevin from Ben Ten he can touch any material and become that material and can morph his body into weapons. it changes the color of his skin but his appearance doesn't change
ohh, i understand. sorry to be kinda rude with the criticism, i'm one to act before i think..
but, now you mention it, i do know what you're referring to. i'm ok with it, just maybe try more.. colors! they're fun to experiment with. you can see some examples of how i screw around with colors in my animations and pictures (an example is my profile picture!)!
