ok so i have seen plenty of people praise a design jest because someone 'popular' or 'good' designed it. but like- it's ok to dislike something??? even if someone you like made it???? and just because a designer might be good, they can still make bad stuff. You shouldn't praise the bad stuff. Praise the good stuff all you like, i wont judge, but when people are like "oh em gee!!!! SO GUUD!!!!!!!! i wanna steel suuuuu badlee!!!!" to a design that looks like a homeless squid vomited it and the suffocated and died on top of it, it makes me angry. Also, yall focus on big designers WAY too much. You need to branch out and look for smaller designers, who dont get any attention because everyone's crowding Mayflowers and Smolfur and people like that. (Not trying to call them out, just using them as examples) and good designers can make bad designs- not everyone is gonna be perfect 100% of the time. I've seen designs like the one i made in the thing that people have gone like "WOWOWOWOWOWWOOWWWW SOOOOOO GOOD@@!!!"

(dont comment on my chain please) and then people make "JoKe DeSigNS!!1!!!!" that everyone makes fun of, and then those same people turn around and praise a design that looks almost exactly like the joke one. i dont understand it?????? like and THEN we have patterns that are always used, such as: -lines -squiggles -triangles -circles -rings -splotches of color -fades -dots and NOBODY i have seen yet has used them in a unique way. I make designs, and even I'll admit, mine arent the best. There are ways I can improve. But people need to stop praising designers that make the same three characters just recolored. it's taking away from the good designs smaller creators make, and just forcing the "good designer ALWAYS GOOD DESIGN!!!1!!1!" mindset onto more people

and then there are designers who straight-up steal smaller people's designs and add *maybe* an extra color and then pass it off as their own. I've seen this maybe twice, but that's still two times too many. and taking inspiration from someone is ok, but YOU NEED TO CREDIT. and you cant just copy someone and say it was "iNsPiReD" to avoid backlash.

There can be people who create wonderful, amazing, 100% creative stuff a lot of people would like and only get maybe 10 likes, while a popular person can doodle an 'okay' character they have and get 15 just because more people see it. THIS is the main problem I have. This is also why I think the popular page is junk. Popular people get on the Popular page and get EVEN MORE POPULAR, while small creators who (imo) make WAY better stuff than some popular creators (again, imo) will never even have a *chance* at getting on the popular page. Just because they have less followers. Remember, ALL OF THIS IS MY OPINION. you dont have to agree, you dont have to hate it, and I'm not presenting it as fact. I'm just presenting what I think about this
