the first time yes, i was taken in by my therapist and she was goign to have to tell my mother the reason why. i was walked over to the asu (acute stabilization unit) right after havung a breakdown, the first moments there are usually upset ones because peopel are usually hospitalized during breakdowns or other unpleasant time

the second time i got quite scared in the actual mental hospital because some peopel were upset by somethign earlier and decided to make a big fuss out of it and we went into lock down over it. they fought security but of course didnt win, since everyone on that floor is kids

also, the first time i was released from what is basically the holding area, called the acute stabilization unit, and i was baker acted that time, taken against my will basically. the second time i checked myself in and spent 5 nights in the mental hospital

also the reason i decided to make this was because someone i met there just texted me for the first time in a while lmao. please do keep in mind to be wary of giving out any personal information to people in mental hospitals and uh for legal reasons we definitely didnt exchange numbers while in the hospital because that would be a violation of HIPPA

and i was usually one of the oldest there cause they start grouping you with adults once you 18, and i was 16 and then 17 when i had been taken in those times. also people didnt believe i was that age a lot lmao but i just have a baby face

And please feel free to ask whatever you want! of course my experience is only one of many and i can only speak for what happened to me while i was at my local mental hospital, but i would like to answer any questions i could about possible misunderstandings peooel might have about mental hospitals!

in some way yeah, but also in some ways it was harmful. getting time out if the situation i was in and being outside of it all was somethung good, but they didnt provide much of any actual help. that is only in my experience tho, i dont know how helpful other institutions might be. all they did for me was hold me in the place until i was deemed okay to release. my second time stressed me out a lot because of the people around me. both times tho i did meet someone i stayed in contact with afterwards

not exaclty, ive only gone when extremely stressed and in the end the people who have custody over me always find out somethung i dont want them too, the first little while in and out are always weird and a little stressful cause i have to reajust to being in there or beung home again
