I'm back bois!!!! Now this is a little sudden, and strange without context, but allow me to explain that, and what I have been doing for the past week. ( I'll go more in depth tommorow, I'm really tired)
Buckskin was a leadership camp held at camp brady saunders (their website here : http://bradysaunders.net/camp/) where several scouts who don't know each other must form a strong team bond to overcome various tasks. The teams ( or patrols) would have to make a name, yell, and more importantly, trust each other enough to push through the challenges that lay ahead.
I was in the green patrol, and I don't remember how, but I came up with the idea for the shrek patrol. Our patrol yell was "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY SWAMP!?!?!?!"
When we got to our campsite, we quickly learned of something that was rather not pleasant. 3 words:
Japanese.
Battle.
HORNETS.
Those pieces of shit had a huge right outside of my tent!! I still don't know how i didn't get stung.
Our patrol's vision was to be the most well known patrol there, and a giant-ass flagpole sure helped. Our shrek flag stood at about 20 feet fall.I'm not even exaggerating it was literally taller than the American flat there. It was glorious.
I'll talk more about buckskin tommorow, but I gtg get some sleep.
