Prologue part 1 !Warning! Fanfic contains MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE WHOLE OF THE WoF SERIES AND ESPECIALLY THE RUNAWAY WINGLET AND DARKSTALKER LEGENDS! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Pyrrhia’s history is one full of mystery and intrigue. Choices that have rippled and affected present day dragons in ways we may not look at, or even think of. Today, we look at one such choice. Although, another version of that choice. A different ending, for Prince Arctic of the Icewings, and Foeslayer of the Nightwings. This is Foeslayer’s other choice.

Foeslayer looked back at the scowling statue of Prudence, her mother. She was frozen by Arctic’s magic, and she was faced with a choice. Leave the ice kingdom with Arctic, to run away and live on some distant island, or even the lost content. If it existed. And leave her mother and the other two nightwings to likely be killed by queen Diamond. Or, have Arctic unfreeze her mother, and escape with her, Arctic and the other two nightwings. Arctic took one of Foeslayer’s talons into his. She looked at him. She wasn’t a mind-reader, but his expression spoke volumes. He wanted, needed, her to say yes. She let her worries vanish, and without thinking anymore about it, she nodded her head. The icewing prince smiled, turning the armband he had on clockwise. Turning the both of them invisible.

So the two of them flew, they flew till their wings hurt, and the ice kingdom was fair behind them. Arctic turned his armband back to its original position, and the two dragons became visible again. He angled his wings down, guiding Foeslayer to an island that he could just see at the horizon line. They landed on the sandy shore of the small island, a single, sad looking plumb tree sat to their left. A few rocks were scattered around, but for the most part the small piece of land was rather barren. Arctic looked back the way they came, “We are too close to the ice kingdom,” he looked at Foeslayer, “My mother could still find us, if we got here, any petrol or search parties could as well”. “What do you propose we do? We can’t fly around looking for another island-” Foeslayer stopped herself, and looked Arctic dead in the eyes, “No. No magic, you’ve already used so much. You should save it”. Arctic took Foeslayer’s talons into his, “Look once we get to the lost content-”

“If such a place exists,” Foeslayer interrupted. He huffed in mild annoyance, “You didn’t let me finish! Or as fair away from my mother as possible, and make sure she can’t find us, I promise. No more spells”. Foeslayer looked at him for a long moment, before exhaling deeply, “Alright,” she squeezed her talons gently around his. Arctic smiled, grabbing a small rock, and taking flight, Foeslayer following right behind. “I enchant this rock to transport the first two dragons who touch it just off the shore of the lost content,” he met Foeslayer’s eyes. A quiet moment passed, before he took her talon in his, and had both of them touch the rock. A dizzying second later, he and Foeslayer looked around, the island was gone, and about a mile off, was land. A content, covered in forest, strange dragons with four wings, and shimmering scales were at the beach. There were also a few other green dragons, whose wings were oddly shaped. Foeslayer looked at Arctic, her eyes wide with awe, “It’s real, you got us here

". “The lost content,” Arctic breathed flying towards the land with Foeslayer following.
