So uh- your ocs and Ebony (ofc it’s ebony. Why not) we’re having a casual stroll through the forest, then suddenly bop:
Ebony grins at you. “Bet I can beat you back to the river.” And he spreads his wings, you ofc probably not having wings say that’s cheating and start running before he says go, which he huffs and chases after you, your casually taking the long but unblocked way while ebonys being the dramatic effect man he is and running through a cluttered, but shorter path, when all of a sudden you hear the twang of metal wire and a sharp sound almost like a gasp, a scream, and a choke all mixed into one.

A. Keep running thinking it’s a classic ebony trick (he does it a lot)

B. Look back Cause curious

Hmm, I think since my main is a grumpy goat named lily, she would keep running because he does it a lot.
On the other hand, if it were Millie, A sweet excited cat, she would stop to see if he was ok

Ebony is casually tangled in some strange looking silver wire, the expression in his face is quite surprised, due to the blood freely flowing from his tangled legs, arms, and throat, he’s not ok

Ebony chokes slightly and mildly hangs limply in the wires, which aren't cutting too well
The wires do break at that and ebony falls face first onto the ground
Jack: *picks him up and starts cleaning up the blood with his sleeve *
he's bleeding quite a lot, even though the injuries are pretty shallow
Rope addict just ends up ripping his sleeve apart and tying it arund the worst of ebony's wounds *
which is his neck and wrists, cause- well. arteries and such.
Ebony shivers a bit and just cuddles close to Jack, bleeding slightly from his nose and a small amount from his mouth, just cause- well- throat injury ig?
Jack: *kisses him on the forehead as he removes the temporary bandages he put on ebony
Ebony is still bleeding, not as much, but he still is.
His grip slips slightly and he lets go
Jack: its okay darling.. you will be okay.. *he then bandages him up
Ebony shivers a bit, and tries to speak but a soft whine is the only noise he makes
Ebony whimpers a bit and smiles the smallest bit, thankful, but unable to speak
Ebony leans against him for a breif moment before finally saying in a croaky voice. "...t-..that was.. s..stupid of me.."
Ebony breathes shakily and mumbles. "i.. s.saw the wire... i.. i thought.. i c-could just.. jump over it.." he whispers
"..i...i..." Ebony whimpers a bit and just lays there. "..im s-still sorry..."
“I... I’m glad I’m ok.. ish.. to.. I.. I’d hate to die cause of some stupid race..” he laughs softly, trying to lighten the mood
Ebony laughs softly and looks at the ceiling. “I can picture it now.” He puts his hands in the air. “Elliot James Corvus. Strangled nearly to death by some wires while racing his fiancé. Later bled to death.” He laughs softly. “Then people would walk past and stare, wondering how much of a moron that man was to die that way.” He lets his arm drops to his sides
Ebony smiles. “Oh that wouldn’t even be the stupidest headstone. Picture this. Your walking in a graveyard and come across this stone, the name is eroded away, but the cause of death, all it said, was ‘Stopsign’.”
