Thinking abt it more,, so like Dex was a goodie two shoes but then starts to realize,, "maybe you aren't able to ask,, maybe you just need to take what you want" and despite like,, knowing Dr.Catboy ISN'T actually a villain she starts piecing together how she could,, actually be a villain. zhe has the brains to do it,, all that's been holding her back is her self control and morals,, but after realizing "I can't stop him, he's not doing anything. Even if I stopped her, what would happen?" so maybe they just weren't MEANT to make friends, maybe they were always supposed 2 be alone. eventually after felix starts realizing he isn't a villain,, Dex just,, freaking loses it,, its the plot of megamind basically

the line,, "Not like you. You lost your nerve, you lost the game. But you and I, we're not the same!" is her thinking thats shes like,, more fit for this role than felix,, which is odd for her bc she often thinks VERY little of herself,, she got a confidence boost but not in the good way
