Once a powerful Wizard, Rax Talbus was the most respected and feared magic user in all the lands. His skill with the arcane arts knew no bounds, and he made sure that everyone who doubted him knew that. However, that was centuries ago. Now, after being imprisoned in a crystallizing tower that was corrupted by the deepest, darkest forces of the arcane, he’s just an old and immortal man. Alone and locked up in that tower, his body is slowly becoming more like the crystals consuming his prison, and he can feel his soul being eroded away day by day. But that doesn’t stop him from trying to break the tower’s curse; to free himself from his bonds. He continues experimenting, using pieces of crystal and whatever he can find to make a makeshift lab and staff, hoping that his efforts wouldn’t be in vain. He no longer cared to be respected, he no longer cared to be feared. He just wanted to be freed.
