Oh, I could be better. I've been helping a lot of my friends not feel so bad about themselves while feeling bad about myself, but I only feel bad because I'm dramatic :/

I think a lot of kind-hearted people deal with that. They're always trying to help everyone else, they never think about their own mental health because "other people have it worse", so even when really bad things happen or we feel pretty down, we're still willing to try to take some of our friends' burdens off their shoulders.

Yeah. I've stressed myself out so many times because a friend was talking about killing themselves. I've been dealing with that since... 7th-ish grade. Too often do I take everyone else's burdens onto my shoulders because I don't want them to feel like no one is there for them, and too often does it take a toll on my mental health.
It's a very hard thing to judge. Do you want to stress yourself out because you're panicking thinking your friend died when they suddenly appear 2 hours later saying they didn't do it, or do you want to just ignore a friend in need because you think they might not do it and you don't want to be freaking out?
Exactly, it feels like I'm one of the only people helping. Between me and my friends we all support each other and help each other, and I guess together we are the only ones keeping each other alive at one point.
And that's not how things should work. You're all feeling down and you're trying to help each other which is dragging you down more. Unfortunately, that's how it is for most people.
But not really, it's like one big caved circle, we spin around and when one falls in we help her back out.
I know. But when you help someone out, you slip further in. You need someone stronger who's trained and has the materials needed to get you out. I personally believe everyone should have a therapist, whether it's because of childhood trauma, gender confusion, or stress from work. We all need a therapist
So many people have told me this, and in all honesty it ticks me off. I've had therapists before and they helped a bit, but in my opinion I feel like people who are super close.to me help the most
If you get the right therapist, they become a close friend. One of the councilors at my school is the sweetest woman on the planet. She makes me feel better the instant I see her; I don't even talk to her very much, but she'll tell me my lipstick or hair color looks nice. I honestly think that, while your friends can help, it's not completely fair to put that burden on them so much when they have problems too. You need to talk to someone who's trained to take that burden off of you without putting it on themselves.
