The woman walked briskly up to the docks, clutching an infant close to her chest and a boy of around ten close to her side in equally protective manners. Her demeanor was clear: she was not the type to bother. From a distance, one could tell she was tall with slightly broad shoulders, and up close, her hands were calloused in a similar way that men often earned from years of sword fighting. Her confident demeanor was what was earning her glanced from the townsfolk, but what Glory was focused on were her eyes. Perhaps the humans couldn’t see it, or perhaps they were too dense to notice, but her eyes were a blazing amber, a striking orange hue that faded to an equally vibrant yellow, and her pupils were cat-like slits that examined her surroundings as if she were on the hunt for some sort of prey. Even from a distance, Glory could tell the boy’s were a pale shade of pitch white, like milk- he wasn’t blind, clearly so due to his constant following of his mother’s gaze. They clearly weren’t human, that was-
