LinkStep 1: Put a dot wherever you want the head of your character to be. It is NOT necessary (at least not for me), to put a dot on other limbs or objects. The dot is made as a sense of direction only.
Step 2: Draw a circle around the dot. For a faraway head, the circle should be 4 squares long. And heads get bigger as the head itself get's closer.
Step 3: Draw a neck, as referenced above.
Step 4: Draw a chest. For women, especially if you're including breast details, make it big. It should be skinny and slim for men, unless they are buffed.
Step 5: Draw the torso. Skinny and pinched for women, full and slender for men unless buffed.
Step 6: Draw a circle under the torso, where the rump/buttocks would be. This makes a place for the legs to go.
Step 7: Draw the legs, you know how dolls look, right? Try and replicate that. Make 2 elongated ovals. DON'T fill in the pinched part of the leg, since it serves as a knee.
Step 8: Draw arms just as you would draw legs, but bend them if you'd like.

LinkNotes:
Make sure that your arm and leg psychics make sense. Or else it might look like The Rake.
If your having a hard time scaling (sizing) the correct arms or legs, draw lines in the direction that you want the limbs to be in, then use another blank page to draw into those lines. Delete the lines when you are done, and see if they helped you to draw the arms in a more reasonable size.
Delete the circle for the rump once you make your legs. Otherwise it's going to look like your drawing has a diaper, trust me. ;-;
