I’m weird though-
I like it when characters get hurt in stuff
Or they’re sad
Then the other one helps-
~ Shade was lost in a forest somewhere that was seeming more and more like a jungle the deeper you got. ~
Shade: *he grumbled and tried make a path through some of the thicker greenery* How the heck did I get here?!
~ There were some statues that seemed to be blocking plants from growing past them, forming a path up ahead that lead to a temple. ~
~ It had the Searcher’s tree engraved into the door and two people were arguing somewhere from inside.
Riley and Gloria were hiding nearby. ~
Shade: Uhm... *he gulped. He suddenly felt nervous, and possibly slightly scared. Of course however, he’d never admit that* ... Hello?
Riley: * He almost screeched when he saw him but Gloria put a hand over his mouth*
Gloria: “ oh, it’s you. Hi. “
Shade: ... h-hello... *he mumbled. They knew him, so he knew they p r o b a b l y wouldn’t help him-*
Riley: * fighting to get Gloria to unhand him-*
Gloria: “ Why are you out here?” * She had a bow and quiver, and sheathed on her belt was a dagger. It had a familiar handle. *
Shade: I uh... I got lost... and I uh... found here... *he was unusually nervous and scared, his usually smooth character completely gone*
Riley: *muffled screaming-*
Gloria: “ Riley be quiet we already made that mistake once-“
~ The handle was black, looked like it was made from roots being twined together and had some symbols engraved into it. It also had a red gem on it. It seemed to be pulsing with energy. It was familiar because it was Finlay’s. ~
Shade: I Uhm... *he gulped again* I uh... *he didn’t know why he felt so scared all of a sudden*
Riley: “ ..” * Both he and Gloria’s symbols were glowing. *
???: (from inside) “ YOU ARENT HAVING MY SOUL, DEALS OFF-“
???:)also from inside) * sHrIeKs oF pRoTeST-*
Shade: *he jumped slightly, his ears pricking up quite suddenly at the shouting and shrieking*
Riley: “.. should we help them-?”
Gloria: “ no, they said not to. “
Riley: “......... they did-“
Gloria: “ anyway sir do you want help or not”
Shade: ... if you would help... I would be grateful...
(*is surprised Riley hasn’t tried to kill him yet-*)
Gloria: “ Ok. What direction did you come from? “
Riley: “ I’m gonna go help Finlay and Raven before they die -_- “ * he huffed *
Shade: ... I uh... that way... *he gestured to the path he had created through the greenery*
Shade: I Uhm... would you rather if I... attempted to find my own way back? You appear... to be busy...
( sentence** )
Gloria:”.. Go back the way you came like a sensible person. -_- “
Riley: “ tHEy lOckEd ThE doOr-“
Gloria: “ well I mean, I am busy trying to get my friend out of the mess you somehow got him into which he’s been trying convince our master wasn’t your fault for a long time now so I mean
yeah. I’m busy. “

Finlay ran away and joined shade shortly after the searchers met their downfall
And he’s being accused of being a traitor to them even though he didn’t know they were still an alliance
So it wasn’t betrayal at all
and now they think shade did something and finlays trying to get them to believe the truth and their like

Gloria: “ He had nowhere to go. And if you haven’t noticed..” * She paused. * “... He likes you.

Shade: ... *he blushed*... I don’t exactly understand what he see’s in me... *more mumbling-*
Shade: I couldn’t do that! *he looked startled. However, at that moment, he realised what he was feeling for Finlay. He hadn’t recognised the feeling before because he’d never felt it. He smiled slightly, still blushing*
Riley: * raging in the background-*
Gloria: “ So. You gonna help us or not?”
Gloria: “ Well I mean
Raven and Finlay have the map of this place-“
Gloria; “ k. “ * She seemed pretty calm. *
Riley: “ I think they locked it-“
Shade: ... I’m guessing that’s bad..?
(*still surprised at why Riley doesn’t care that Shade is there-*)
Gloria: “..do you have gloves? “
Riley: “ yes-“
Gloria: “ Put them on. “ * She put her own on.*
Riley: “ how is this helpful-“ * He put his on. *
Gloria: “ So you don’t burn your hands off. “ * She unsheathed the dagger and handed it to Riley. * “ Three times at the top, twice at the bottom, once at the middle. “ * She took her gloves off. *
~ Once the dagger was unsheathed, the blade and handle seemed to be glowing faintly red as if they were boiling hot. *
Riley: * he did what he was told and the door opened. * “.. oh”
Gloria: “.. Welp if your gonna help, come on.” * She went in without hesitation*
(Shade is fascinated by this.)
Shade: ... not weird at all... *he mumbled*
Riley: “... weren’t there lights here a few years ago? “
Gloria: “ that was more than a few years ago -_- “
Riley: “ I dunno we all lost contact after the old base basically burned down. “
Riley: “.. sorry “
Gloria: “ Guys, c’mo- oW I thinK I foUnd tHe dOor qwq “
Shade: ... *he rubbed his eyes, and was shocked to realise he was crying. He never cried.... not outside his home anyway. And why was he crying? He’d been humiliated and insulted in far worse ways. He didn’t understand why he suddenly felt so upset about it* ... o-okay...
Gloria: * She cracked it open and it seemed to be pretty bright. * “ oh.
ow.”
Gloria: “ it’s either light or fire. “ * She opened the door and the corridor flooded with light. * “ oh yay, the safer alternative.”
~ From the newfound light, you could see the corridor was all black with some pillars lining it ~
Shade: *slowly, as his eyes adjusted, he moved his hands away from his eyes* ... good that it ain’t fire...
Gloria: * She stared into the room for a while, trying to see if anyone was in there before walking in. *
Riley: * He stayed in the back. The occasional person would walk by but nobody seemed to care about their presence. *
