Okay, I have a certain view of what "family" means. My family is small. My mum and sisters, my unvcle aunt and cousins, my granddad, and one other person who knows who they are. So when people call me family, it bugs me a lot. I'm not your cousin, I'm your friend's brother. When people call my family their family, when they aren't, it bugs me. When I see people calling people they barely know their family, it's just a tiny bit weird to me. Just, when people call people "mother" or "mom" or "father" it bugs me. Like, I guess it's like devaluing the connection, I guess. Also, I very much dislike when people call someone they don't know, (namely, me) "daddy" it's legitimately angering. I feel like it's a genuinely special connection that allows one to call another "daddy".
