In my "professional" (teenage digital artist) opinion, taking a break from art for a while may help. I took a break for about half a year and came back with more motivation and more ideas on how to improve. Art block plays a big factor in this trust me.

Hmmmmm, maybe I do try to atleast make a few drawings a week I used to be able to push out full fledged drawings every day but things got harder

I think it's better to take things at your own pace. You shouldn't feel obliged to put yourself on a schedule, especially if you lack the motivation.
