Scissors (or Samuel around Ori's father) made a friend with one of the other Royal Guards not from Ori's Legion. They actually had like a secret handshake and everything. Their friendship was adorable. Anywaaaays, skip ahead to the war stuff or whatever and boom-bada-boom, turns out Scissors' friend was a spy and attacks it. Cool fight scene yada-yada... Scissors gets it's scars from its friend's betrayal so there.
