Linkin response to both of you guys, could i have a source please? I've really loved selkies for a long time and I've never read anything that said that "selkie" refered to any kind of animal, so I wanna do more reading and see if it's true

Linkso technically not based on the true version of a selkie. so if Kepp was based on the true mythology he would be either a bake-danuki, Tanuki, or a yokai.
