Thank you!
when you draw a ribcage on pretty much any creature with vertebrae, they have a flat bone where the ribs connect called the sternum. This protects some of your most important internal organs from damage (you heart and your lungs). If you put your hand on your chest (in the middle of your torso) you can feel this bone. I'm mentioning this because I notice in many gore pictures that the animal in question has no sternum, and this is incorrect. The ribs don't end in a spike. They end in a protective bone. Look up a ref before drawing ribs or any bone structure-- Trust me, it's worth the effort! (and the sternum doesn't run all the way down to the stomach. In humans, it ends where the lungs end)

This is very informative and useful! Last time I drew a rib cage, I only ended it in a spike as if the sternum was torn, making it more convenient to the display
