you adopted this kid. his name was dusty. youve had him as your son for a year or two, he is 16. one night you wake up to a loud THUMP. it came from dustys room. you groggily get up. and walk to check on dusty. he looked like he was sleeping in his bed, ``dusty? buddy you okay?`` you call out, no answer. you check under the covers. dusty was nowhere to be found. you look out the open window, and find dusty trying to get out of the grip of this.. tall.. muscular man.. he was trying to kidnap dusty, you suddenly thought of the first time you met dusty, where he called the police frantically, you saved him.. with the person that tried to kidnap him.. he had gotten out of jail about a year ago.. as you snap back to reality, you hear dusty call out, "MOM/DAD!!! HELP!!", you rush down the stairs, you find dusty in the car with the kidnapper, the kidnapper had the car started, but he wasnt moving, he was waiting.. wanting you to suffer... you tried all you could to open the door, but it was too late.. dusty-

this is from a previous wwyd from a long time ago, around october. where dusty, called the police, saying that there was a man in his house, who had a gun. im calling the AU "They Always Remember." because of this dustys memory loss due to a kick in the head, from when he was younger.

Alad stood there, reaching out as tears streamed down his cheeks as he called out helplessly. The man shook as he began to run in the direction of the car, hoping to catch up, running and running until he lost sight of the car, falling to his knees

about a month later, dusty finally.. and i mean finally, was able to get the phone, dialing 911, trying his best to explain, explain where he was, his surroundings
the being that watched over dusty suddenly appeared in dustys room, standing over the bed, staring at the empty bed, silent whispers of many voices filling the room
He had been in the room, about to say something to the being, curse it out. Yell at it. But his phone went off when his boss called about Dusty's call
He jumped, tending to forget thhe being could be terrifying. He listened to the call
He took the phone, getting in his car and driving as he followed the squad cars to the place of holding
The tired, stressed, worried dad rushed from his car to the building. "Dusty!?" He called out through his tears
He shook quite a bit as he took him in his arms, holding him close as he held to him, crying into his shoulder pt\raying that this wasnt a dream
"W-We're fine baby... just fine.. Are you Okay!?"He asked, holding tightly to him
"What do you want to eat sweety..?" He said , brushing is hair from his face
He held him close, kissing his head softly, knowing he was going to make some changes to the living arrangements to keep him safe
He Jumped, holding the sleeping child, not wanting to have the kid wake and hear the man. Thugh he tried to find the source of the man pain
