earthbending is a strong element but i wouldn't say it's the strongest. I don't know which to think is the strongest because they're all so different and special. All ik is earthbending is VERY cool. i mean, some earthbenders can use the earths' vibrations to see what they can't with their eyes, some can bend metal, and very rarely bend lava. yeah, earthbending is definitely one of the more impressive and fast developing elements.
you said "the ability to manipulate what your opponent is standing on" but thats a big disadvantage right there. more specifically, terrain is the problem. what if there is no earth around and everything is metal like in zaofu and they can't metal bend? or what if they can and they're in a place made of wood. as far as i know, woodbending isn't a thing. Or an even better example, what if they're at the north or south pole? i think that problem is self explanatory. earthbending is a very fast developing element, the proof of it is in korras' timeline. but people are already finding ways to deal with it. for example, think about how kuviras' super weapon was built. it was made in a way that metalbenders couldn't do a thing to it making metalbending useless. All i'm say is, I don't think it's the strongest, it don't think any of them are stronger, all ik is that they all have different advantages and disadvantages. overall, each element is cool anyway.
Yea, you convinced me there.
I agree, each element has it's own pros and cons,
Water being pretty harmless unless the water comes in large quantities. all though having a full moon strengthens waterbending and a subtype is bloodbending (Which is supposedly unbalanced, and the fact that ATLA and LOK are targeted to kids is the only reason there isn't people ripping blood out of people) So waterbending's cons is if there is no water around the user is defenseless, as compared to being next to a lake, river, or sea, where waterbending can shift the tides of battle.
Firebending lacks defensive capabilities towards the other three elements. and firebending is very heavy on how the user is feeling emotionally. It would make sense that the "fire" nation were the tyrants as they had a very aggressive style, overall has very good offensive powers while being fairly vulnerable to things not fire. Oh, yea, lightning bending was not intended to be given to Zoku to stop him being OP
Earthbending (Fav element), is dependent on terrain (like you said). Metalbending is definitely useful, I wish that meant skilled earthbenders could evoke earthquakes by bending the crust of the earth. I'm pretty sure Kiyoshi did that but she's not even in ATLA and LOK. Lavabending I think should be like fire+earth.
Air, This is the vice versa to fire, very passive but unique. good for evading and redirecting hits. Korra mainly used it for attacking though, unlike Aang who would use it a varying ways for both attackign and defending. Combustionbending ain't very good though
mhm, each element is different but special in many ways. That's something no one can change. I just don't like when people say "oh that's the stronger element" without really digging deep into each. like, the more I talk about waterbending the more I like it so it's probably my favorite but that doesn't mean i think it's the strongest i just like it 😂. i really like each element bc at one point they're either impressive(like Toph's earthbending or like when she picked up metalbending while captured in a box), captivating (like when Zuko and Azula fought each other during sozins' comet(one of my favorite parts, the firebending was phenomenal), interesting (like airbenders and HOW they use their element), or overall just surprising to watch(like when katara fought the waterbending master, before i didn't give water much thought bc i thought it was just moving it and stuff but then i saw the infinite amount of possibilities i mean, they're almost endless). each are pretty cool.
sokka: ok I found something your not going to like *pulls out paper in front of toph*
Toph: well, it sounds like a sheet of paper but I guess your referring to what's on the sheet of paper
latter...
Katara in front of toph: what's THIS *takes paper out*
Toph: I DON'T KNOW! seriously, what's with you people?!?! i'm BLIND
aww, Ty that's sweet. Don't worry, I don't see that as rude or anything ik I haven't posted in a while (apparently a month) so ik where your coming from, i started to sketch out my next post but i kinda left that to the side bc of school. Ik alot of things I want to draw as well, Hopefully i have time to do them soon.
