Karume could be seen clenching his sword’s hilt, but his eyes seemed to look as if he was begging for it to be something else from what he thought it was, he walked in,

Io could be seen shaking, eyes wide, Karume grabbed his sword, unsheathing it. His mother wasn’t his mother.. at least not anymore, the limbs of children younger then them could be seen, with blood everywhere, Karume grabbed Io and threw him to Dobutsu, “RUN NOW-“

“HE NEED’S HELP,” he tried to get to Karume’s aid,

Karume was at blade and claw, with his former mother,

Karume staggered back, eyes wide, She hissed in outrage, throwing him off, “traitor!” She hissed, “helping a human!?”

She roared angrily, raking his back with her claws,

Karume swiftly took his shot, somehow getting Dobutsu to safety, and cutting his mother’s head off, his eyes not the vibrant emerald, but a dull jade.

A spiral of mist clouded around her disintegrating body, as it slowly seeped back to Karume, he got on one knee and drove his sword into the ground, clenching his teeth to hold back a sob,

He held his chest, before letting out a pained scream, tears running down his face,

He sobbed into his shoulder, Io came running in, “I-….” he lowered his head, more of the town’s people come to see what had happened, all catching on very quickly,

After a few minutes, he slowly silenced,
