k i'll start -fade in- AHEM~ Violetbloom was sorting herbs, and pricked her ears to the sound of the leader calling a clan meeting. she got to her feet, shaking of the last of the leaves on her paws and walking over to the shade-rock

she looked around and spotted sunset. Violetbloom silently moved next to her as their leader, Cherrystar, a pale ginger tabby she-cat, started to speak. "A patrol came back this morning, saying that fox was scented in their territory. I would like a patrol to go out and look for it. Drive it away, but if it has cubs, leave it and we'll see what we'll do with it. I would like Sunset, Lemonice, Frothpaw, Mistpaw, Shadeclaw, and Grassleap to go and defend our territory."

Cherrystar paused and continued, "And bring Violetbloom, just incase any accidents happen"

Cherrystar dismissed the meeting. The leader of the patrol, Grassleap, rounded up all the cats. The brown tabby tom started to speak, "Alright, i want to surround the fox den. Wait until it comes out. Violetbloom, you'll be staying to the side. Sunset, you protect her if the fox decides it wants a med cat for a snack. Now, are we ready?" Violetbloom said, "Let me grab herbs real quick." A moment later she came back, dropping a bundle at each cat's claws. "eat." She turned around, looking at Sunset, "You need to be strong, i die then who's gonna heal the clan?" She said amusingly, but behind her eyes were a flicker of seriousness.

She looked away smiling then said, "Shall we?" The group continue into the forest until they came upon a hole in the ground. Grassboi singled with his tail to surround it. Violet bloom hid behind a tree, laying out her herbs to get ready for anything.

frothpaw let out a yowl to lure the fox out. before they could react, violet bloom saw a large male fox come out. the fox snarled as he saw that the cats surrounded him. 2 pups, almost full grown, followed the father out, growling.

The fox looked over the cats, and its gaze rested on violet bloom. cowering there under sunset, she must look like a piece of prey to the fox! The rest of the fox family came out and the fighting begun. meanwhile, the father fox disappeared into the bushes. Violet bloom grew restless as she watched the fighting, knowing she could do nothing but sit there.

As the pair of cats disappeared into the bushes, Violetbloom felt sharp claws dig into her skin. She shrieked and wiped around to see the father fox, snarling. he leaped at her

the fox yelped and fought back, meanwhile violet bloom climbed a tree and watched from above as sunset practically risked her life to drive the fox back

The fox yelped, giving a final snap and then running of in the bushes. Violetbloom waited in the tree for a bit to make sure it was gone, then slipped down and ran over to Sunset. "Sunset! You're a hero! Of course i could have fought that fox on my own and stuff because like I'm a medicine cat and have epic skills but-" she smiled, "My point is thanks."

She starred at Sunset for a moment feeling hot from nose to tail, then gave herself a shake and proceed to help the hurt cats around her.

after she had finished fixing up all the cats, Violetbloom looked around one last time and said, "Welp, thats it." The cats started to leave, and eventually got back to camp. Grassclaw explained what happened and said that the apprentices deserve to be warriors. they became Frothear (a gray tabby with white ears) and Mistflower (a gray tabby she-cat)

She walked over to sunset after the ceremony was over. "Hey- wanna go and help me collect herbs?" she asked

Violetbloom smiled and led her to a small clearing. She started to pick goldenrod, showing sunset how to pick it without hurting it

she looked up and watched as Sunset picked the plant, then said "Sunset, i- i am actually, for real, very thankful for what you did back there," she looked away and scooted closer the smiled and flicked her ear with her tail "t- thank you so much."

Violetbloom leaned on her shoulder sighing. "I know i'm a medicine cat but.... would it hurt if we just met up some days?"

violetbloom smiled and purred, "well then, see you at the edge of s.c territory tonight." she winked and leaped off, the bundle of herbs in her jaws

Violet bloom stood under the moonlight, awaiting the arrival of Sunset. after a while her doubts about sunset's feeling for her started rushing in.

she smiled, "its fine. I'm just happy you made it. tbh for a sec i thought you didn't like me and was going to abandon me, but i know you," she said walking up to Sunset and licking her ear, "you're perfect."

Violetbloom purred and winded her tail with Sunsets, "Sunset... i love you too."

Violetbloom purred and looked at the shining moon. (just gonna do a lil, uh, blue star x oakboi empression real quick -ahem-) She sighed, "D- do you think star clan agrees?"

Violetbloom yawned and curled up around Sunset. "You're right..." she trailed off, her vision going blurry. Soon, she fell asleep under the light of the full moon

`~The next day~` Violetbloom woke up the early morning light seeping through the tree's branches. She scrambled to her paws, realizing how worried they're clan mates must be. "Sunset!" She half-whispered half-yelled, shaking the tabby cat with her paw.

Violetbloom mewed, "We slept in! We have to get to camp before the clan noticed that we are missing."

Violetbloom was distracted as a rustle came from behind. she spun around to see one of the new warriors, Mistflower. She stared at the cats, still as stone.

Mistflower stammered, "i uh- was just hunting and uh-" she backed away slowly looking at each cat suspiciously "w-what we're you guys doing out here all night?"

Mistflower hesitated and nodded, "Ok then." after she left Violetbloom looked towards sunset, relieved. "Thanks, you saved our pelts."

she purred, rubbing her cheek against sunset and then looked up at the rising sun. "see ya," and ran off towards the camp

when she got back to the camp, violet bloom noticed her sister, shadowblossom, was giving her a weird look. she turned towards her sister. "u ok?" her sister rolled her eyes and said, "u we're gone all night with that cat. i was really worried." she looked towards sunset who had just entered and huffed loud enough for the cat to hear

shadow blossom rolled her eyes, giving sunset a weird look and stalking off. violet bloom walked over to sunset, "sorry about that..."

violet bloom looked over to the leader, cherry girl. she was elegantly sitting on the high rock, looking over the cats. she caught violet blooms eyes

cherrystar looked at them in a weird way and violetbloom huffed and got up to go sort her herbs

Violet bloom looked up as she walked in, "Sunset... I think they know something is going on. The way Shadowblossom talked to me was very suspicious."

violet sighed, "i don't know..."

violet perked up as a thought came into her mind. "Sunset- what if we only met up once every waxing moon? we can take guard when one of us falls asleep and go back to camp before dawn-!!!"
