She remained silent as they returned to Coral’s throne room. “I’m going to go after her if she goes.” Cerith said. “Oh but you can’t your Highness!” Trench gasped. “Your Highness, might I suggest reading the box over more carefully?” Cero said. He offered the box to Isthmus who grabbed it instantly. “The Cey you will see is not found in the sea but the sea you see vwill telleth thee.” he read. “Looks like whoever made this was a terrible speller, they put a v in front of will, and key is spelled wrong.” Isthmus said. “But what if it is not a mistake.” Cero suggested. “What if- and I’m just supposing here- what if said ‘mistake’ is the answer to the riddle?” “Why else would it be there?” Isthmus replied. “Precisely.”

“Well if you are going I need to go to protect you!” Trench protested. “No, you have to stay back to protect it.” Cerith replied. “You are more important than any animus object in the world.” Trench said. “Aww” Cerith smiled. She was about to say something when Polyp appeared. “Look at the letters, there may be a secret message hidden.” Cero implied. “Do your magic.” Isthmus smiled greedily. “Well the first letter beginning with c and likely ends in v, although what could that spell?” At that moment Conger saw the queen’s guards approaching. “Great crashing coves!” he exclaimed. “Cove.” were the last words to escape Cero’s mouth before being captured.

“Trench! You must go to the Summer Palace! I was flying overhead and saw an explosion. They have found it!” Polyp hastily explained. “Oh no… Your Highness, I have to go deal with them. This is my battle, you need not come. Stay here where you will be safe.” Trench said. “But Trench-” Cerith started, but Trench had already left. “Don’t worry, he’ll be back.” Polyp said. Trench surfaced. “It was you! I knew it!” Trench stormed up on the land. “I knew you were behind it all, and Conger! What? You work with them too?” Trench said all at once. Isthmus ran away just before the guards could see him. He had taken the chest.

“Alright we found them!” yelled one of the guards to the rest. They captured Conger and Cero, as well as Trench. “You are guilty of high treason and will be sentenced to death after a trial.” said the general. They all hung their heads as they were led to the Deep Palace, except for Cero, who remained cold as ever.
