Originally built for the assassination of mavericks, Frost Mantis was a master of his craft. When the Hunters stormed the X-Hunter base in the North pole Frost Mantis was caught under an avalanche, freezing him inside it. The hunters left him for dead, but for several years, he was immobile, stuck in the snow. Only recently was he thawed from his eternal prison by Stormblade Archaeopteryx's Storm Generator. He has sworn allegiance to the mavericks, and has a home to pick with the Maverick Hunters. He is very calculating and loyal, but his time in ice has thawed his judgement, and made him very hostile. He prefers quiet, and will retaliate against anything that makes noise in his frozen lair, made of the remains of the old X-Hunter fortress, and a few things he found deep in the ice, such as frozen robot masters from 100 years ago, and a frozen Chill Penguin, one of his enemies from the Maverick Hunters. A perfect example to show what happens when you face the mighty Frost Mantis!
