Appearance- The florvidae is a deer-wolf hybrid that always has at least two horns. They always have at least one plant growing out of them and their pattern is always similar to the plant. It can be any type of terrestrial plant. They can be any color, but are commonly grey, green, and brown.

Males and females- The difference between males and females is in the plants and horns. Males can have more than two horns while females can only have two. A female can only have one plant growing out of them and that is always on the head, while a male can have multiple plants anywhere on the body.

Behavior- These creatures are very shy, yet loyal. They travel in herds, which are more like an extended family. In the herds they will have specific groups of friends and family. A herd usually contains up to 30 florvidae. They hardly ever travel alone, as they prefer to travel with a friend, mat, parent, or fawn.

Mating- These animals mate for life. If one mate dies, then the other becomes depressed and will only leave the body if they have fawns. If the do not have a mate but are fully grown, they are called Lone females or Lone males. On the full moon of March, all the lone females come together to find the lone males. The lone males then try to impress the lone females. Ways they can impress the females are hunting, camouflaging, fighting (another lone male), running, and more. Each lone male practices this until they either get a mate, or give up. There will never be two lone females who want to mate with the same lone male.

Fawns- A fawn is what the child of a florvidae is called (rarely referred to as pups). They are protected by the whole herd until they turn two years old, when they are two, they are protected only by their mother and father. At three years old, they get off of their plant-only diet and begin to eat meat. At five years old, they begin to leave their parent's side and explore the herd and make friends. At seven years old, they are no longer a fawn and are fully grown. A fawn can either be called a young male/a young female a fawn. If the parents have a different plant, then a young female will take after the father's plant and a young male will take after the mother's plant. Their fur color does not take after any of the parents, it is random.

Diet- When they are younger than three, they only eat plants. This can mean any plant at all, including (but not limited to)mosses, fruits, and the plant they have growing out of them. Once they are three or older however, they start eating meats. They typically only eat small rodents (mice, voles, squirrels) and small birds, but they will occasionally eat rabbits, frogs, larger birds (like chickens) and even some small cats and dogs. Their teeth are small and razor sharp, allowing them to rip flesh and leaves easily, but they also have large flat teeth, allowing them to crush bones and thick stems. They also use a little photosynthesis, meaning they get some energy from the sun. Using photosynthesis alone will not give them nearly enough energy to survive, but if they do not get any sun light for too long, they will become tired, sick, and even die.

Extra stuff- -If you see one, you are considered lucky, for they commonly travel away from people. -If one comes up to you, it means it sees you as a member of it's herd, and will remain loyal to you, becoming your pet. -If you do have one as a pet, let it roam around, and let it meet other people/animals, they hate being lonely. -Some farmers consider them as pests because they eat the crops and the livestock. -Their plant never dies until they die, however, the plants do go through seasons, changing their colors. -They are the smaller than the average deer, about the size of a large dog. -They get along with deer, but not with wolves and most dogs. -They can have wings, however that is very rare. -They can be growing more than one type of plant, yet this is extremely rare.
