backstory is pretty tragic because the Novelty bloodline was full of tragedy, it's nickname is literally "The tragic blood" because of how ****ed up it was. so warning, there will be injury, neglect, details of death and obviously; child abuse. this is why Edwardin is very cold, violent and whatnot. okay here we go;

Edwardin is the oldest child in the family, making him automatically the heir to the throne. But he was the only half-immortal (can die but able to respawn) in the entire Novelty bloodline. But being heir doesn't mean he wasn't spared of his father's tendency to be a real dick. But his siblings got it worse. We will start from the incident. Avery was only 9 when he was forgotten by Frett (their father, the dick.) so he wasn't around. Magretta was only 8 at the time, and Edwardin was 11. Frett thought he didn't need any extra children, nor a queen to rule with him, he only needed Edwardin. He hired his own enemy, Allake, to murder his girlfriend and his daughter. Allake did just that, but Edwardin was there, and Allake was confused. So he struck Edwardin with the axe he used to assassinate Helenali and Magretta. It was a fetal wound, but he somehow survived it. His head was split, the brain was damaged. His brain damage thought to be permanent, but it wasn't, because over the years, it lessened.

But there were lifetime affects, such as memory loss. The brain damage caused him to forget the first years 11 years of his life, even his own family. Due to Frett being the only one there, he only recognised Frett as his father but forgot about Frett himself. Frett now thought that Edwardin wasn't going to be a good King, thus neglected him until he was 14. When he was 14, they all found out that he was half-immortal. Edwardin was in his own room when it happened, Edwardin found out he was a darkness wielder, which is very much frowned upon. Frett, feeling remorseful for the first time in his life, went to his room, only to discover that his own son was a darkness wielder, the remorseful feeling vanished. Frett was taught that darkness wielders were nothing but sinful kind, thus lost himself, thinking his son was nothing but a demon, he was wrong. Edwardin was dead. He felt regret but did nothing, until after a few hours, Edwardin respawned, his right eye was forever messed up. Years passed-

And the war between Eric and Redlands decided to go to battle again. Edwardin had to fight because he was the age to be able to fight, which was 16 years old. The war was chaos and whatnot. And when the battle between rulers happened, it was to determined who wins the epic battle. Frett died, finally, after all of those years, he finally died. Edwardin was now king, the immortal king. that is all, just a summary, still in progress though.
