I mean I get why you want a school love interest annnd he is soooo popular but that trope was started to dry out for me. AND HE'S SO BLANED. Like he evens does even have enough screen time for me to care abt him. And then the creators are like oh Aoyama is just a normal school boy BUT WAIT he turns into a magic sliver knight guy to save the mews in trouble! AND I WAS LIKE WHAT!? you can't just say that THIS GUY of all ppl is the same as kisshu and the rest...

You can't just be shoving a character into the storyline and think everything was gonna be okay. If the elf silver knight guy was Ryo that would've made sense. BUT NO you want a guy who is just awful character writing to be it.
