Just caught a false widow in my room and I genuinely was so close to getting bit I swear. I am never opening my windows again

My house gets so many spiders because behind us is a giant open and overgrown field which leads into a woods. There was a cellar spider infestation at one point which has died down a lot but there’s still at least a small family of them in each room, we often get wolf spiders and jumping spiders too. I don’t mind them but false widows are where I draw the line. Mainly because their bite is 2x as painful as a wasp sting and the pain can linger for a full day.

Unfortunately they have made a habitat of the outside of both of my bedroom windows. I put netting over them so I could open my windows and keep them out since it’s boiling hot at the moment, but one of them still managed to sneak through 😓
