As the animals now successfully drove of Jones and his men, they all rejoiced for Old Major's rebellion and his life.
The animals crowded Snowball as he painted the seven commandments upon the wall.
Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
No animal shall wear clothes.
No animal shall sleep in a bed.
No animal shall drink alcohol.
No animal shall kill any other animal.
All animals are equal.
The animals nodded in agreement, and went into the shacks and farmhouse, and got rid of all the things that reminded them of Jones. such as whips, reins, bridles, butcher knives etc.
Crystal charged into the room she had been locked and starved in numerous times and broke everything, she tore the pages out of books, she clawed the furniture, she knocked off the lamp from the end table.
Once she was satisfied with her work she went out of the farm house. She brang a small hunters knife in her jaws, as the animals were going to burn everything that remind
them of Jones. As the fire burned, the animals sing beasts of England as they watched all of it burn.
Crystal sat feeling the warmth of the fire on her pelt. Snowball laid beside her watching the fire. "never again...." she whispered as tears fell from her eyes, she then felt Snowball nuzzle her chest fur.
"Never..again he softly whispered the two nuzzled each other, the fire lasted all night, it was so warm that Crystal fell asleep in between Snowball's front legs.
He nuzzled her gently and carefully rested his head on her back and closed his eyes, the fire's warmth and Crystal's gentle purring lulled him to sleep.
As day came, all the animals awoke and started to talk about the thrill of last night.
Meanwhile, at the Red Lion, Jones talked with a couple local farmers, Pilkington and Fredrick. He told them what happened, and the local farmers didn't believe him at first, but then they arranged a battle.
back at the farm, the tame raven flew in a panic, alerting the other animals of what he saw.
Jones and his men trudged through the gate, and the geese attacked, nipping at the men's calves, they were able to fend the geese off, and then Snowball, Napoleon, Boxer, and all the animals fought the farmers.
Snowball charged at Jones, but Jones had a gun. He shot his gun, the bullet scraped his back, and as he kept charging, Jones whacked him with his gun. The animals won over the farmers, as they ran off in terror, Snowball and some animals chased after them, despite Snowball's limp, he ran after his enemies.
After the men vanished over the hill, Snowball returned and Crystal bounded towards him fearful of his health. "Snowball!" She skidded to a halt teary eyed looking at his hurt leg, Snowball nuzzled her. "don't be scared, they're gone... and I will be fine...." They both returned to a shocking scene, the female farm dog, Jessie outstretched and dead on the ground.
"J-Jessie?" Crystal walked to her and nuzzled her fur desperately feeling for a heart beat, but to her sadness there was nothing but stillness. "Jessie has joined Old Major in the heavens.... we shall honor her...." Snowball announced his heartbreaking to see Crystal having to mourn again.
But then Crystal jerked her head up. Without a word she raced to the farm house. "Crystal?" Snowball went after her, he made it before she finished her leap upon a window sill. "Chris where are you going? We are not to go in there......" Snowball new that Crystal followed rules, but when she seemed to attempt to break one there was always a good reason for it.
"Jessie's puppies... their in there.." Snowball nodded as he waited for her to find the puppies, she did so and carefully lowering one pup at a time and Napoleon helped, by bringing them to a safe place.
After each pup was in the new place, Crystal grew incredibly attached to them. And so she decided to be their surrogate mother.
