So. I asked my mom, "What would I do if I wanted to change my name?" I don't really want to completely change my name, but I want to be called by a different name. She then said, "I would spank you." I then asked why. She than kept talking about because she loved her dad so much, and he died way before I was born, she thought even if she had a boy or a girl, she would name them Sydney (if it was a boy, probably different spelling). Her dad's name was Sydney, but a different spelling and she wanted something to remember him with. She said it would be heartbreaking if I wanted to. So that's why I'm telling you all this, the only people I can tell you about this. I'm still kinda shaken about it, because I wanted to be called by Sammy. I like that name. And now I don't know how to tell her that I want to be called by Sammy. Maybe I shouldn't just tell her at all.
