LinkAzzy wasn’t always a hero, of course. In fact, he was almost set to be a villian. Neglectful father, abusive mother, antisocial, dark personality...
To go further back, for understanding what I mean, he used to be a ‘she’. A daughter of two very powerful villians that preferred strength over strategy. In fact, it was a wonder how they survived this long without getting caught. At first, her father liked her enough. Her mother tried be strong- but her body was much too skinny to ever really be strong.
When her quirk developed, her mother grew cold and angry, and her father wavered between liking and dislike. When she came out as trans and wanting to be a boy, that broke them, and his mother grew abusive, and his father grew distant,
In sixth grade, a year after he came out, his father left, unable to bear the yelling from his mother and having such a useless child that could only sometimes erase quirks-for his quirk wasn’t fully done developing.

Linkr they were used as punishment. He started wearing a long scarf to hide the bruises and scars, as well as long sleeve shirts and long pants, even in the summertime. He had insomnia, making him look tired all the time, and he was avoided by everyone.
In seventh grade, he thought about becoming a villian to please his mother. Perhaps let the anger out. Then, he thought about suicide. Both thoughts continued for the entirety of the year, until 8th grade
In 8th grade he met Hisazi Yamamda- who would later be known as Present Mic.despite everyone avoiding Azton, Hisazi approached him and talked to him all the time. Made him almost smile. Made him almost laugh. This was...New.
Hisazi had immediately decided Azton had “hero material” and forced him into training. He even convinced Azton to try out for UA next year-
And he did.
Despite the hero things, his mind sometimes goes back to suicide and villainy. The three all mix together in his head. He hides the other two as best as he can, though, for

LinkIf anyone knew, he’d probably be criticized for being a hero.
The same goes for his past in general. He can’t talk about it to anyone, can’t tell anyone about his parents, because he’ll just be shunned. It’s better to pretend it never existed. Better to pretend he lived like a normal person and think about everything on the inside.
After all, who would ever look at Azton the same way if they knew he was trans, had villians for parents, and sometimes thought about being a villian himself?
