Kunala has, well, returned from hunting, a mouse hanging from their jaws. It wasn't much, but it was better than nothing, right? There were some glances of disapproval from nearby cats, but no one made a comment about it. However, the silence still worsened her mood. |*I'll do better next time...*| She mustn't disappoint the leader with such pitiful catches. After placing her catch down, something caught the corner of her eye the moment she looked up. Was that... Another clanmate of theirs over there? Why are they alone? An empathetic frown formed on their face, feeling bad for the other. Do they need friends or company? They looked lonely... Approaching from a direction so that the other could see her, she slowly advanced. "Er, hey," they mewed, giving a polite dip of her head. "You alright...?" |*That was a stupid question...*| Kunala thought with an internal curse to herself.

Kunala had detected the flinch, which led to a twitch of a pointy ear. Did she mess up with her way of approach? Would the other just go away? However, the other had spoken, though in a stutter. However, it was a greeting. Lowering their voice, they responded, "Well, perhaps it's better compared to the well-beings of some." So, seems like the other is doing decent? "Though, apologies for suddenly coming over... Did I scare you?" |*She looks as if anything could leap out and attack... What has her on edge?*|

The brown feline listened to the other speak, getting into a sitting position to give their legs a rest. "I see, I'll try to be a little more careful next time I talk to you," Kunala mewed, implying that this may not be the last conversation. "Hm, why wouldn't they want to..? If I'm allowed to question it, that is. You seem nice, though... It was sad to see how excluded you seemed from the others in camp, so I thought about coming to talk to you."

The amber-eyed feline frowned at the dark-colored she-cat's first string of words. "That's rude of them, considering you a mad cat," Kunala mewed, looking empathetic. "I can partially relate to that, some find me a little weird... Odd." The warrior's frown only deepened after the other feline finished speaking, and it was a little tricky catching on to the last bit. However, "lonely" was a key term. "Still, I'm sorry you get left out, and I can't help but feel concerned. Isolation is such a cruel treatment to be given." As much as she wanted to make a move to comfort the other, the warrior may not like that or react negatively. "Perhaps I can be your friend..?" They then mewed moments after with a twitch of their brown ears.

Kunala had returned the small purr with one of their own, posture relaxed as things aren’t as tense anymore. “Well, mind if you tell me your name?” She asked, before adding, “It’s hard for me to keep track of everyone’s names, so I don’t quite know yours.”

"Scorchfang..." The brown feline murmured to herself, repeating the name as an attempt to be able to remember it in the future. "That's a nice name, Scorchfang..!" The warrior then said with a genuine smile. "How did you get such a cool name?" Did it possess meaning, like their own name?

Kunala listened as the other explained the meaning behind her name, and she took a moment to gaze at Scorchfang's pelt at the first string of words. When she brought up the suffix's origin, a small "mrrow" of laughter left parted jaws. "I wonder how your mentor found that out," Kunala mewed with a soft chuckle. "Still a great name!"

That earned a giggle from Kunala. "I see," they mewed, amusement flickering in their warm amber orbs. "Well, mistakes happen, haha!" Although the other didn't ask, the warrior mewed, "Well, my name's Kunala. Didn't want to get a Clan name because of the meaning my name holds." With a smile, Kunala added, "It's nice to meet you, if I didn't say that before! Whenever you're up for it, we can head out and do some hunting together..!"

Kunala was a little happy when Scorchfang asked about their name's meaning. It is nice to share a little about themselves, like how nice it is to learn and understand about others. "Well," she started, "Kunala came from a name, Kunal. According to my kin, Kunal meant 'golden lotus.' Symbolic reasons that you may not understand, but it's what makes my name feel special..!!"
