Link Andromedin remembered the day he’d lost his authority to a rogue.
He remembered kneeling on that stone cold floor in front of Hamarum’s throne.
“You did a cowardly thing today, Andromedin.” His voice had been stern, not laid back, which meant something was wrong.
“Sir, I do wish you would tell me what I-“
“You know what you did.” Hamarum’s voice was full of tension, like he would cry if you pressured him.
“If you insist on me repeating what your actions were, fine.
You ran off with that warrior friend of yours, remember? He was important to this entire civilization, Andromedin. You came back being dragged by this rogue, who’d saved you both.
If that isn’t a good reason to demote you, I don’t know what is. You clearly didn’t try to save him as well as you tried that demon boy you were friends with a few centuries ago. Does anybody disagree that this boy has lost his pride as a commander?”
Nobody questioned Lord Hamarum. Nobody ever did.
“Commander Andromedin, you are now a soldier again.

He didn’t know how it happened, but he found himself on his knees, crying, in an alley on Earth.
Everything he’d earned after thousands of years of effort had just been gone in a matter of minutes. All because of one rogue, who replaced his spot as commander a few years later.
Looking back, he should’ve defended himself when that had happened.
Only Comet had listened to him when he’d needed to talk, and Comet was Hamarum’s second in command. And now Comet was giving Ichorkus lessons, so he didn’t have time to talk.
Ever since that incident where Hamarum took his rank as a commander away, he’d acted upbeat and happy all the the time. Always acting like he was positive, pretending things were alright when they really weren’t. He’d molded himself into a new person-
Andromedin was viewed as a happy, friendly soldier who you could rely on to make you laugh and joked about just everything.

Which was nobody. He didn’t even have Comet anymore.
“Andromedin? You there?” Nova asked, waving her hand in front of his face.
“Huh? Yeah, I’m here, where’d you think I was? Jupiter?” He went cross eyed for a moment when he said the word ‘jupiter’, just to exaggerate it.
Nova giggled a little. “Come on, we’ll be late!”
He followed her to the dining hall where the soldiers got their food.

It’s kind of sweet he wants to act happy, but it’s also sad cuz he isn’t-

It makes it a mix of emotions-
