LinkWhen grown ass people, like 20+ year olds, calling their parents daddy/mummy. Or, like, infantalizing themselves in general situations.
It depends on exactly what they're doing, like having a dummy/pacifyer necklace or a candy one, go for it, wearing onsies or pajamas out shopping or babytalk to friends or strangers, no.
Like, because of my whole pro freedom of speech and expression thing, and other reasons, you wouldn't expect it, but this stuff bugs.ne.

LinkAnd people Infantalizing OTHER people is worse.
Like, giving people baby-ish nicknames that the person doesn't like, calling people "child" or "choild", generally being condescending outside of insulting someone.
Condescension pisses me off.
Those are actually understandable. Whereas for me, I have a weird pet peeve that’s really not logic. I have a pet peeve for when people type exclamation marks at the end of their compliments, it makes their compliment seem very false and forced, for example;
a. “Your art is really neat!”
b. “Your art is really neat.”
I would see ‘a’ as the more annoying comment, if you get what I mean.
I also hate the fact that whenever someone mentally disabled or someone that has an anger issue, or genuinely something wrong with them, someone else always treats them like a baby. They speak really clearly to them like they’re an alien and I think it’s really rude. Like, most mentally disabled people can understand the English language.
