LinkWhat are Tone Indicators?
tone indicators are used to indicate if the person is joking,being serious etc. etc. ,neurodivergent people have trouble conveying or understanding emotion and tone through written text,using tone indicators is really helpful for neurodivergent people to make it easier for them to read/convey.
as a neurodivergent person (Autism gang??),i always don't get my friend's tones by their message but when they use tone indicators,it helps me understand,i always had difficulty reading the message's tone. thanks to tone tags it can be really helpful.
USE THEM CORRECTLY ALWAYS! Don't say /srs if u mean it as a joke!! It can really hurt us and make us trust u less!!!
List of Tone indicators :
/j = joking
/hj = half-joking
/ij = inside joke
/s = sarcasm
/srs = serious
/nsrs = not serious
/p = platonic
/r = romantic
/lh = lighthearted
/neg - /nc = negative connotation
/pos - /pc = positive connotation
/rh = rhetorical question
/gen = genuine question
/hyp = hyperbole
/c = copy

It's easy! You use them at the end of sentences, like
"Why did the chicken cross the road? to get to the other side! /j" or "Are you sure you want to do that? /gen"

LinkDON'T MAKE FUN OF PEOPLE WHO USE OR NEED TONE INDICATORS! ALOT OF PEOPLE NEED THIS TO KNOW YOUR TONE IN A MESSAGE!!! JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED THEM DOESN'T MEAN OTHERS DONT!
