Ok so basically he used to love being loaf 🍞 on the grate and so my dumb self drops a penny into the grate and he sees it and moves bc he probably thought he was gonna fall in too

Yeah! When I had a cat, he would always loaf everywhere too! Once he got his claw stuck in the grate :(
