hmm... murder mystery sounds like it'll get a little chaotic, so i like that one the best what OCs are you going to use?

i'm going to use my oc mary (it was drawn on my main acc, i've had my dignity taken away because i use this acc 😭) prompt?

hm..... maybe, like every good murder mystery begins, these two are stuck on a remote island where they find out that someone in the large group they were knocked out and brought with is the murderer to one or two people that were there on day one but not anymore

sure! but ofc the murder will come a small while later)) Mary woke up, rubbing the back of her head, wondering where in the hell she is

she checked the pockets in her dress to make sure that she still had the things she did before, then let out a sigh of relief. mary soon stood up to walk around

there were other people just beginning to stand up, walk around and ask questions about their whereabouts. Mary did the same, walking up to Alec

"uhm.... do you by any chance, know where we are...?" Mary stuttered a little throughout her words, clearly nervous

she sighed in slight disappointment "man-" she whispered "i've just got a really bad feeling about this place..." she spoke louder than before, but still in a soft tone

she looked at alec with a soft, worried expression "good idea-" she looked at the floor, as she put her hand in her dress pocket

Mary let out an almost silent sigh looking around at the blank walls in this room, still really nervous

"alright.... i'm Mary by the way" she smiled softly

she was calming down slightly, as she nodded back "it looks like there are other rooms.... maybe check those out?"

she chuckled nervously "i've seen worse! i'm just naturally a nervous person"

she nodded and gave alec a thumbs up "i'm holding onto my gardening shears for dear life, i'm pretty ready" she let out another small nervous chuckle

mary walked into the nearest room with alec. it looked completely different from the one they started in

there wasn't anything of the best use, but there were some basic supplies set out in what looked like baskets. each had a tag that described the person it went to

one of the first ones by alec had the exact description of mary on it. timid young woman, with purple eyes, long brown hair tied back into low ponytails, a blue dress with frilled ends, under the knee white socks and black Mary-Jane shoes... mary was on the other side of the table, holding the basket that had Alec's description

she smiled and nodded "thank you-" she walked over and grabbed hers, soon wrapping her arms around it after she picked it up

inside of the baskets, there were basic necessities and each had an old letter from the person that the owner of the basket loved most and was closest to

mary was on her knees, sobbing, holding the basket tightly in her arms. multiple other people began to cry as well, as these people were big parts in their lives

the letter was about how much the person, who was writing, felt sorry for any past actions and, basically, how much they miss the person, wishing that time could've been better spent

while mary was calming down she noticed alec leaving the room. a few rooms down there was a room with an incinerator

mary was standing behind alec, as she had followed her. "what was yours about, or, well, from actually"

mary wiped her eyes "at least it wasn't from the most important person in your whole life" she sniffled a little

she still held her basket in her arms tightly, her eyes wide and clouded with fear

"i-i'm not worried about my safety.... but thank you" she held the envelope that her letter was in. the back of it said 'to my dearest daughter, Mary'

she nodded "i know, and i thank you for it" she smiled nervously. a voice came on over a loud intercom "HELLO EVERYONE! it's currently, hmm, around 11:00 in the afternoon? i'd love it if yall'd make your way to the cafe! maps are in your gift baskets!"

she walked with alec, nervous yet curious, gripping her letter and basket tightly

everyone was in the cafe, sitting in a seat. each spot at each table had a name tag, with a description of the person. mary and alec were placed at different tables

mary sat in her seat, she looked calm but still quite frightened. almost 30 minutes goes past until everyone gets a small meal. just something to eat for lunch, and it was tailored to the person's culinary likes

she was sitting next to some pretty timid, worried looking people, just eating silently

she finished her plate really quickly, so she sat there and reread her letter multiple times

mary sighed, finally putting her letter away. the intercom came back on "did everyone enjoy their meals?! hope you did! because now you're all free to roam as you please! just stay away from those locked up areas!"

the person shrieked, clearly scared of alec in a way. "hm-?" mary looked at alec a little shocked

the person scoffed and walked away, a nervous glare in their eyes. "it's not your fault that we got seated far apart from each other. the person who brought us here must've say us by people that we'd relate to..." mary looked calm

"continue" she nodded

there were multiple open rooms and areas, all looking different in many ways

there was one more announcement, then about an half hour after, a loud scream

the room that the scream was heard from was the room with the gift baskets. there was a trembling person standing next to a bloody, dead body

the person fainted, clearly they were no harm if they were too squeamish to do anything of the sorts. mary walked back to the bodies, the dead and the unconscious.

mary inspected the dead body, to see the cause of death "alec, will you move the unconscious person over here away from this area?"

mary looked shocked and utterly terrified "multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck...." she was nearly inaudible, and her voice was shaky "that's how he died too...."

"huh?!-" she didn't notice alec's presence, so it startled her a little. "oh- um, maybe call everyone to investigate...?"

mary explained to everyone why they were there, then moved out of the way to show the stabbed body

everyone looked shocked, even the unknown killer seemed to've been in shock

everyone was skeptical at first but did as she said. everyone seemed to be clean

almost everyone nodded. mary looked over at alec with a small smile

"how are we supposed to know that this isn't one of your guy's faults?!" someone piped up, clearly skeptical about the two

"why are you keeping her safe?! what'd she do to earn such protection?!" another person yelled from the back

mary looked a little flustered to get called pretty. "thats just bull-sh^t!" the person spat angrily

a couple of people stood up for alec "c'mon, man! you can't just go off of some sh^tty ideals! have some decency!"

"uhm... no, i'm good" mary answered her, shaking her head slightly. a fight almost broke out between a few people

mary walked away, looking a little sad, as 'darling' was what her father always called her. "half of us don't want to be in the same room as a rotting body!" someone piped up

"wait!" some timid looking person spoke up "we need to host an investigation first!"

"first we need to look for the weapon that delivered the first few as injury then the actual killing weapon, which in this case should be the same blade..." the person spoke to everyone

someone walked over to the body and inspected the cause of death, while multiple others looked around the entire unlocked area

mary was in the cafe, talking to someone

mary looked at alec "oh- uhm, this is Helen" mary smiled, the person waved slightly, smiling

helen looked at alec slightly concerned "uhm... i hear your name's Alec, if i'm not wrong" they smiled nervously

mary chuckled slightly "you remind me of my oldest brother" she smiled slightly

"yeah. he got a little over protective at times, but he was amazingly kind none the less" she smiled

she nodded slightly "you're definitely not like my brother, as he wasn't even human." she chuckled softly

mary and helen looked at alec confused "what's so funny?" mary asked softly

mary put her hand on alec's shoulder

"no, but, my brother looked far from human. both of'em actually" she looked at the floor

she nodded slightly. someone yelled for everyone to go to the room that they were in

helen walked away trying to not be seen by the two. mary looked in the room that everyone was called to

"we found the weapon. we think so at least" someone told the two

the person nodded, handing them the small kitchen knife

there was a small red stain on alec's clothes now

"hm-? alright.... what does she look like?" the person who handed her the knife asked

the person nodded and walked off to look for them. mary looked slightly concerned

"alright..." she stuttered slightly

the person came back, holding onto Helen's arm "found'em" they said calmly. "let me the hell go! i didn't do sh^t!" helen yelled at the person

helen grumbled a little "fine! then pat me down, or inspect my clothing if you think i'm a murderer!"

there was nothing on them. but, there was a small part in her already dark red shirt that looked slightly out of place

"what?! oh- the spot on my shirt..." helens voice was calm "i spillt something on it a long while back. couldn't get it out" she sighed

everyone shook their heads no. "i got something on my shirt 3 years ago"

they looked slightly annoyed. mary looked at alec "is-... is all of this really necessary?! what if we just asked the person on the intercom to let us go...?"

she looked at the floor "what if-" she hesitated "what if none of us make it out alive...? or even catch the killer"

next thing you know, Alec gets murdered /j)) mary nodded softly "alright..."

they held the spot that alec slapped "well how can we be so sure that it's not blood that they tried to get rid of, but failed to!"

the stain wouldn't come off. but it left a little bit of residue

it wasn't metallicy tasting at all.

mary walked over as the person left the room

"that person kinda looked like my mother..." mary whispered

she nodded again. someone came rushing over

the person was out of breath by the time they stopped in front of the two

they took a deep breath, calming down "we-.... we might've just caught the killer" they took deep breathes in between ever couple words

the person grabbed alec and mary's wrist and nearly ran back the way they came

the loud clacking of mary's shoes could be heard over the loud chatter of everyone, as she kept up with the person

they pushed through the crowd, reaching the front

there was a person sitting in a chair, tied up. they looked familiar... hmm... i wonder

"we found out that they really were the murderer...." the person in the chair was helen.... almost like i said they were familiar for a reason! <3

everyone watched this happen from a small distance. she looked at the floor, blank faced

"i get that a lot" they were barely audible

mary was staring in disbelief, not wanting to accept anything

mary didn't say anything, she just stood there

she sat on her bed, blank faced

"they killed her to get back...." she was barely audible

"nevermind.... i shouldn't be thinking of my family" she looked at the floor, clearly someone came to her mind that wasn't helen

"i know...." she paused before saying something, then stopped speaking after that

she sighed. a chime came from the intercom "nighty-night everybody! sleep tight and don't let the murderers bite!" the intercom then cut

mary had trouble falling asleep... poor girl's got insomnia

it took her a few hours but eventually she zonked out

mary's a very light sleeper, so whenever alec moved at all she woke up, going back to sleep every time

there was a very loud ringing in the morning, waking everyone up

mary wasn't there, she was in another room (girly just left the person who platonically calls her pookie 🥺🥺

she was in the cafe, waiting for everyone to show up

she was holding up her legs slightly, swaying them back and forth, as she smiled at alec

her expression fell slightly after she said 'darling' "uhm, y-yeah-"

"oh- uh.... my father called me 'darling' a lot.... before he- uhm..." she trailed off

"i really don't mind it... it keeps my memories of him alive, in a couple ways" she smiled ever so slightly

"it doesn't make me sad, it's just a silent reminder of how much i truly loved my father" she smiled

everyone started to come out of their rooms, and into the cafe

someone walked up to the two

"i'm sorry for doubting you yesterday. you had suspicions and i should've listened to them" it was someone who stood up for the newly deceased helen

"but you were right all along... so don't get so upset over an apology" they left

they put up their hand and twirled it slightly, as they clearly didn't care as much

mary didn't mind it, but her eyes were a little wide

she looked off into the distance. someone walked up to the two nervously

"you've got to come see this...." this new person looked quite afraid

they led alec to another room. one with a dead body... mary followed from a distance

someone was inspecting the cause of death

"they seemed to've been heavily burned.... 2nd degree burn marks almost everywhere" the person inspecting said softly

the person who led alec there nodded

the person shook their head "no, i brought everyone to the scene"

"go ahead. be our guest" they looked at alec with a soft expression

everyone was clean, again

someone looked like they were about to say something, then they gasped after a quick second "wheres that one girl?"

she was still standing at the door

"is there something in there that you don't want me to see?" she was calm (are you going to continue to ask my half-robo children sh^t? 🥺👉👈

"ok... well i heard something about 2nd degree burns"

"alright...." she looked at the floor

someone yelled at alec from the other room "hey! we found some used matchsticks"

mary covered her ears, a little startled

"it's alright" she nodded slightly

the person looked at her "we found used matchsticks"

"they weren't even burned in the incinerator, just left on the floor" they were talking about the matches

"i think they're trying to f^ck with our heads...." the person looked around

they nodded "we really should split up into investigation groups though... it might catch'em faster"

everyone nodded "alright, c'mon everyone. lets split into groups of three or more" someone called to everyone

she was sitting outside, next to the door

"huh?" mary looked at her a little confused by what she said

"ah- alright..." she nodded

investigation groups spilled out of the room and spread out to different unlocked areas within the building limits

"can we investigate too? i wanna help catch the killer" mary looked at alec

she sighed "alright"

after around an hour of investigating, a lot of things began to come up

people brought what they found into the room with the body

mary felt incredibly relaxed. there was a small handful of evidence to be inspected and tied to

there were multiple burnt things, not so many whole and complete

a lot of these things were barely broken if not shattered. the suspect would probably have to be a strong pyromaniac in that case

"how are we supposed to know who's a pyromaniac and who isn't?" someone commented. "we use fire! someone find matchsticks" another person answered

the person who answered nodded "yes, but if we can find even one match, i'm sure that we could light something and find out then"

"someone has to've had matches or found them. because then we'd have no knowing of how these burns were formed"the person stood next to alec

they nodded "let's start looking for gasoline then"

the person got everyone back into their groups to look for gasoline smell and evidence

the people of that group somehow never really noticed their absence

the group they were in was already a group of 3, so with them a group of 4.

after a couple instances of gasoline scent during investigations, no one could find any gasoline tubs

after the investigations, everyone went back to the room

"hm-? which girl?" one of them answered questioningly

"somewhat... what are you getting at here?" they asked

"i see... but she wasn't the first to the cafe, and the girl who was first was with her the whole time"

another person started speaking "well, i remember something going on and that pirl was saying something to that helen chick about her brothers and father, whom she misses very much. she was damn near crying most of the time"

"well she's just a quiet person" the last person shrugged slightly

"well by the looks of her she'd never hurt a fly and she's clearly way to afraid of death in more than one way"

"hm-... which one again? the timid girl who i'm talking about or the girl that protects her?" they seemed a little confused

"ah-.... i believe her name was alec..."

they hummed softly "i guess...."

mary was talking to alec about something, not noticing the person

"hey, uhm.... remember the letters from yesterday?" mary asked calmly

"well, i told you that mine was from a very important person... but i never ended up telling you who it was" she looked at the floor

"i feel like you should know, as you told me yours and i trust you"

"it was my father" she said quietly "he was the most important person in my life" she put a slight emphasis on the 'was'

"he-..." she paused for a minute "he was killed by getting stabbed multiple times, in the chest and neck. thats why the first body made me uncomfortable"

"he was considered a criminal after an unfair law was put in place... then i was affected by what the law stopped to place bounties on" she looked emotionless at this point

"but it's the only way for me to never forget him...." she sounded emotionless

"but theres no other thing to do... but it doesn't make me upset anymore, i've learned how to block those over the years" she sounded dead inside

"my brothers are probably being hunted down by the law. my mother was trialed and sentenced to death row after they found that she was married to my father..."

"until this place i was even being hunted by the law.... and all cause of some stupid power..." she sighed

"why'd they have to change the damn laws. it messed up the lives of countless Time Hoppers..."

"but this was the highest form of government where i lived and still would if we weren't kidnapped"

"what they did, did make them look a little dumb to the general public" she shrugged slightly

mary broke out of her depressed state because of the slammed door

"my brothers slammed the doors a lot" she pointed out

she shrugged "one my brothers is gay" she pointed out again

"i hope so as well... he really needs one after the last one" she chuckled slightly

she nodded "what is it?"

she looked flustered, blushing slightly

"i- uh...."

"n-no... i- uh... it's okay..." she whispered

"it-...it's okay, really..." she looked at the floor

mary hugged her back

she blushed slightly, not really minding it. someone called everyone into the room

she just sat there. everyone in there was discussing who they believe killed the person

other people were defending her. they knew that the accusing person had lousy reasoning and explaining

someone explained to alec that, that person was trying to accuse her of murder

peole were trying to prove that the person accusing alec was the real murderer

after he was found guilty they hung him next to helen's dead body and this is how they kill the criminals <3

fr she was braiding small parts of her hair, and brushing them out with her fingers, and repeating that process for a short while

"i don't mind" she answered softly

she shook her head softly "i think someone's going to die again...."

"alright... but if i ever do i want to die like he did" she nodded slightly

she let out a quiet sigh and tried to fall asleep

this time she fell asleep quicker than last time

next morning! someone has died.... a g a i n

someone inspected the cause "alright.... this time it was bludgeoning" they sighed

"honestly!" the person agreed "alright. searching parties, everyone"

mary had found a large bundle of flowers, and she had been cleaning them up and making them look pretty

"uhm- alright" she kept using her gardening shears and cleaned up the flowers

she smiled slightly while making the flowers pretty

"thank you" she smiled "the color comes from my mother and the natural softness of it comes from my father"

she smiled slightly

after investigations were over, someone called both of them into the room

"alright.... we know that you don't like for her to see any of this. but, she may be the best self educated on some of this" someone explained to alec

mary looked around "what do you ll want me to look at?"

someone told her to inspect the evidence. she did as she was asked, inspecting everything found

she inspected everything, soon piecing things together to find something out

"hair.... everyone come here" mary said softly

people began to gather closer, checking to see whose hair strand it was

there was a thick, white strand of hair in mary's hands. white a few people had white either in their hair or that was their hair color

everyone who had white hair did so. one of them matched perfectly, and it was the person who brought the two into the room

they looked at alec "i couldn't lift anything over 5 pounds. let alone, bludgeon someone's skull in" they had a blank expression

frrr 💀 "nope.... i can prove just how weak i am" the person looked at alec dead in the eyes

💀💀💀💀💀 "fine. then let me try and pick her up" they pointed to mary

"then hand me something over 5 pounds" they didn't move a muscle

"alright..." they took it, their arm falling right to the floor as it landed in their hand. they desperately pulled up, but nothing worked

no i don't 😭 "told you" their voice sounded strained as they let got of the item
