It's been quiet, for now at least. The tall guy and I went through a few rooms, the scrawny kid though, he stayed behind. We had little to no interruption, other than a few creaking noises from the water pressure. When the tall guy and I opened door five we had an abrupt light flicker in the room, that's weird... It took me a few seconds before remembering a note from the briefing— when the lights flicker, hide. I decided to take action, tossing myself into a locker and slamming the locker shut. The tall guy— who I will call Kash from now on, hid behind a few boxes, ensuring his safety rather quickly. After a few seconds, an ear piercing screech echoed from down the halls, quickly approaching the area. The lights immediately shattered when the creature that produced the screening zoomed past the room, rendering the room's electricity useless. After a minute or two, Kash and I emerged from our hiding spots, we just stared at each other for a minute, trying to process what just happened. —

While Kash went ahead, I gathered my courage to keep on going myself. It was normal— all perfectly fine. I looked back one last time, and that's when I caught a glimpse of something red trailing on the floor.. blood. I considering catching up with Kash, but I decided against it, approaching the blood trail. It seemed fresh, was that.. the kid's blood?
